Wilson College Community Provides Support for the Future
Thanks to the generosity of the entire Wilson College community, during the 2024 fiscal year, the College raised the fourth highest amount annually in the institution’s history. Wilson alumnae, alumni, faculty, staff, and friends of the College, donated over $8.9 million, with $1.1 million in gifts dedicated to the annual Wilson Fund. These gifts helped the College achieve a new milestone of five consecutive years of the Wilson Fund netting over $1 million annually.
Two charged in string of retail thefts in Chambersburg and throughout PA, MD, and WV
28 August 2024- The alleged theft of over $4,700 in items from multiple Chambersburg stores and attempted theft of another almost $2,000 is being investigated by Chambersburg PD, with two people now facing charges. Benventuo-Celini Dumitru is facing two felony charges of retail theft and one felony charge of conspiracy to commit retail theft. His co-defendent, Romina Miclescu, is facing three felony charges of conspiracy to commit retail theft. Dumitru and Miclescu have both posted bail at this time and are free awaiting their next court hearings.
