‘It feels really out of nowhere’: Patrons stunned by closure of popular Robinson Township restaurant

People visiting the Settlers Ridge shopping area were surprised to see a restaurant shut down seemingly overnight.

An imprint on the front of Cadillac Ranch where the two big letters once stood is what’s left after the sign was taken down.

“It feels really out of nowhere to me,” said Nick Trizzino, who works and lives nearby. “I don’t know what could’ve led to it.”

Anyone looking to grab food or a drink at the restaurant on Saturday was met with a closed sign on the door.

The sign said Cadillac Ranch on Settlers Ridge Center Drive in Robinson has closed. It read, “We are grateful for the support of our community and encourage our guests to visit us at another Landry’s location nearby!”

“I’m actually surprised because every time I drive by here, the patio especially, it’s always packed,” said Ambria Slutiak of Robinson Township.

The rock ‘n’ roll-themed bar and grill is a stop for a lot of people catching a movie at the Cinemark across the way in the same plaza.

“The food was always awesome. The drinks were good,” said Cody O’Brien of Moon Township.

    O’Brien’s girlfriend agreed.

“It was one of my favorite places up here. I’m bummed,” Slutiak said.

Channel 11 tried to find out more about the sudden shutdown. A quick web search of the Robinson location also shows it’s closed with no explanation.

“Little bit disappointed with everything,” O’Brien said. “[I’ve] seen a lot of couple places leaving like Jimmy John’s, so it sucks to see Cadillac leaving too.”

There are only two other Cadillac Ranch locations, but they are both out of state.

Channel 11 called and emailed the restaurant and Landry’s, the company that runs it, but have not heard back.
