K-9 Bas returns to duty after battling cancer, community rallies support
South Fork Police Chief Don Wyar said that his K-9 Bas has recently returned to work after having time off due to a blood cancer diagnosis and treatment. Wyar said that in July, doctors worked to remove a mass on Bas’ spleen and four liters of blood from his abdomen.
