2 men, 2 juveniles charged with killing MS woman

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Two men and two juveniles have been arrested and charged with killing a woman in Tunica, Mississippi.
On June 3 at approximately 10:48 p.m., the Tunica County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call about an individual who had been shot at the Tunica Courts Apartments.
When they arrived, they found a female victim who was suffering from a gunshot wound.
She was treated on the scene, but succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased by the Tunica County Coroner.
The victim was identified as Brenda Miller, of Robinsonville, Mississippi.
She was just 34 years old.
“That was my cousin,” said Deshawn Taylor. “She was a nice woman who never bothered anyone. Took care of the kids. I hate it happened like that. This is a real bad time for our family right now. Just really bad.”
On June 5, the Tunica Sheriff’s Office announced they’d arrested the following four individuals in connection to the homicide: Jaylon Carter (21), Dequaveon Spears (21), Jaylin Liddell (17) and DeShaun Clayborn (16).

Despite being minors, the Tunica County Sheriff’s Office says Liddell and Clayborn are being charged as adults.
Here are the full list of charges for each suspect:
Jaylon Carter: Murder, two counts of attempted murder, shooting into a motor vehicle, unlawful discharge of a firearm within populated area, possession of stolen firearm and carrying of a concealed weapon.
Dequaveon Spears: Murder, two counts of attempted murder, shooting into a motor vehicle and unlawful discharge of a firearm within populated area.
Jaylin Liddell: Second-degree murder, two counts of attempted murder, drive by shooting and unlawful discharge of a firearm within populated area.
DeShaun Clayborn: Second-degree murder, two counts of attempted murder, drive by shooting and unlawful discharge of a firearm within populated area.
Police say that this investigation is still active and ongoing.
