Owner of Missouri medical testing lab sentenced for $4 million in federal fraud
(The Center Square) – The co-owner of a health care company was sentenced to 20 months in prison and fined $100,000 for submitting $3.8 million in fraudulent claims to government health care benefit organizations. Carlos Himpler, 44, plead guilty earlier this year to a felony conspiracy charge and was sentenced on Tuesday by U.S. District Judge Sarah Pitlyk. Dr. Franco Sicuro, Himpler’s partner and co-defendant, pleaded guilty in November 2022 and agreed to forfeit $3.1 million in assets. ...
