The Ridge in Rochester offers free movies, fun summer events: Here's the schedule

ROCHESTER — The summer entertainment schedule is set for The Ridge Marketplace shopping plaza's lawn, a community gathering space offering free events for all ages.

Bounce & Splash & Entertainment will be offered Wednesdays, July 3 to Aug. 21, noon-3 p.m.: Rochester Recreation will offer Toddler Playgroup Fridays, July 5, Aug. 2 and Aug. 16, 9:30-11 a.m.

A movie series will highlight the summer with shows Saturdays, July 6 to Aug. 24. Pre-movie entertainment is held 6-8 p.m. with movies starting at dusk, around 8:30 p.m.

July 13: "Peter Pan & Wendy." Pre-movie entertainment is to be determined.

July 20: "Wish" with Granite State Credit Union charitable spotlight - Share Fund, Food Drive – Bring an item for an extra raffle entry. Pre-movie entertainment – teddy bear picnic and tea party, plus Rochester Opera House "Beauty & The Beast" cast visits.

July 27: "Spider-Man: Across the Spider Verse." Pre-movie entertainment – magic show/music and walk around magic.

Aug. 3: "Migration." Pre-movie entertainment – special presenter.

Aug. 10: "The Super Mario Bros. Movie." GSCU Charitable Spotlight - Monarch School Supply Drive - bring item for extra raffle entry. Pre-movie entertainment – magic show/music and walk around magic.

Aug. 17: "Chicken Run." Pre-movie entertainment – TBD

Aug. 24: "Crater." Pre-movie entertainment – TBD
