    Teen pedestrian struck after exiting bus

    ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – Officers with the Rochester Police Department are investigating after a 16-year-old boy from Rochester was hit by a pickup truck late Saturday evening in Rochester at the intersection of Lake Avenue and Merrill Street.

    As officers arrived to the scene and found the boy with injuries to his upper and lower body. An ambulance with AMR took the teen to Strong Memorial Hospital. His injuries are not considered life-threatening.

    According to the RPD, the teen had just exited an RTS bus on the east side of Lake Avenue and was attempting to cross to the west side when he was struck.

    Officers say the driver of the pickup truck is a 21-year-old woman from Rochester. The driver of the truck was not injured. No arrests have been made.
