ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Crews were called to a fire at a warehouse in Rochester Wednesday.

According to the Rochester Fire Department, people saw smoke in the area of Sherer Street shortly after 2:00 p.m. Firefighters found black smoke coming out of a vacant warehouse there.

Firefighters said they had to put out the fire defensively because the building was structurally unstable. No one was in the building, and no one was injured.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
