“Jeopardy!” fan Brenna Sniatecki had long dreamed of being on the game show.
“It’s always kind of been on my bucket list. Like, wouldn’t that be fun to do,” said the 47-year-old who lives in Rochester's North Winton Village.
Sometimes dreams come true. After being in the contestant pool for nearly two years, she was chosen and will appear on an episode, which will air tonight. Sniatecki is the drama club director at Home School Academy , a home school co-op. In April, during a play rehearsal, she got the call from “Jeopardy!” producers.
“I was pacing in the wings having this conversation. The kids knew something was going on,” she said. But the show demands confidentiality until just before episodes air. “It was a fun secret to keep.”
The taping happened in May in Culver City, California.
She and husband Jeremy Sniatecki, both natives of Pendleton, Niagara County, are hosting a watch party at their home. More than 60 people have been invited, and they live in a small colonial, so the plan was to have it in the backyard under rented tents.
“We are looking at the weather and panicking a bit,” she said. “If it’s thunder and lightning, I’m not sure how everyone’s going to fit in the house.”
Whatever the weather does could not dampen her “Jeopardy!” experience.
“It was really positive,” she said. “The producers were amazing. It felt like they wanted each contestant to do as well as possible.”

The show will air at 7:30 p.m. on WROC-TV (Channel 8) .
