    Thousands without power in Monroe County amid thunderstorms

    ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – Thousands of power outages are being reported throughout the Greater Rochester Area as severe thunderstorms continue.

    RG&E reported that over 3,100 of its customers were without power in the Greece area around 1:30 p.m. Around half of these customers without power have since seen power restored.

    The National Grid also reported over 2,000 Monroe County customers are without power. The majority of these outages have since been resolved with National Grid. There are still over 1,200 without power according to RG&E

    National Grid also reported over 2,000 customers without power in Livingston County. This number has since lowered to 387.

    According to Steuben County, over 7,000 electric customers are without power. Utility and highway crews are working to clear the roads and reestablish power.

    RG&E is also reporting that 207 customers in Ontario County are without power.
