Weather Forecast: Heat is back with storm chances on the rise

ROCHESTER, NY (WROC) – The heat is back as temperatures climb right back into the lower and middle 80s. Humidity returns as well as a weak surface low moves north from the Mid-Atlantic into New England. This could help trigger a shower or storm this afternoon, but most are dry. As the low swings along the Atlantic Coastline, a few showers and thunderstorms will pass by the Finger Lakes overnight into early Tuesday.

Most of your Tuesday is dry with a few more isolated storms popping up later in the day.

By Wednesday, a storm system will swing in from the northwest and bring back chances for heavy rain, lightning, and strong winds. Temperatures here briefly spike into the upper 80s. Once the cold front on the back edge of this storm system swings through, we clear out skies and should be dry going into the weekend.
