    Bills Training Camp, Ontario County Fair, & more events this week!

    ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — From the Buffalo Bills Training Camp returning to St. John Fisher University to multiple concerts throughout the area — here are the big events and concerts this week in Rochester!

    Throughout the Week

    Rochester Red Wings — Home Games

    This week starting from Tuesday, July 23 until Sunday, July 28, the Rochester Red Wings will be playing against the Lehigh Valley IronPigs at Innovation Field.

    The Red Wings will be playing against the IronPigs on the following dates and times:

    • Tuesday, July 23 — 6:45 p.m.
    • Wednesday, July 24 — 6:05 p.m.
    • Thursday, July 25 — 11:05 a.m.
    • Friday, July 26 — 6:45 p.m.
    • Saturday, July 27 — 6:45 p.m.

    Ontario County Fair

    The Ontario County Fair is back for its 181st year starting Tuesday, July 23 through Saturday, July 27. The fair starts at 10 a.m. and ends at 10 p.m.

    Guests can expect to check out 4-H youth activities and events, animal shows, Midway rides, and the new bed race on Wednesday — where teams build a race car made to look like a bed!

    Tickets to the fair are $15 for everyone 14 years and up and $5 for anyone 13 or younger.

    Buffalo Bills Training Camp

    The Bills will kick off their annual training camp this year at St. John Fisher University. The training camp kicks off on Wednesday, July 24.

    The training camp is open to the public this week Wednesday to Friday, July 26. There is a day off on Saturday, July 27. Practice starts daily at 9:45 a.m.

    Wednesday, July 24

    Midday Bash

    Midday Bash returns to Parcel 5 this week, featuring food trucks, lawn and tabletop games, live music, and more. The event will be held as usual from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. The last Midday Bash will be held on Wednesday, September 11.

    Concerts by the Shore – Bachata Rebelde

    It’s Latin night at Ontario Beach Park!

    This week’s performance at Concerts by the Shore is Bachata Rebelde. The show will kick off at 7 p.m. Guests are encouraged to bring food or to check out any of the restaurants in the area.

    Downtown Rochester Farmers Market

    The Downtown Rochester Farmers Market will be open every Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Parcel 5. The last day of the Farmer’s Market won’t be until October 23.

    On August 14, September 16, and October 6, MVP Health Care and Cornell Cooperative Extension will host cooking demonstrations for those at the market. Each of those will be from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

    Thursday, July 25

    Chicago at CMAC

    Rock band Chicago will be performing at CMAC two years after the release of their album “Born For This Moment.” The doors to the show will open at 5:30 p.m. and the performance will start at 7 p.m.

    Party in the Park – The Original Wailers featuring Al Anderson

    Grammy-nominated group The Original Wailers — featuring Bob Marley’s guitarist Al Anderson — will perform at this week’s Party in the Park. The concert will be held at MLK Park.

    The opening act for the show is Badfish, which will take the stage at 7 p.m. The Original Wailers will perform at 8:30 p.m. Tickets are $7, VIP Ultra Lounge tickets are $35, and children 12 and under get in for free.

    Friday, July 26

    Bands on the Bricks

    This week’s Band on the Bricks will feature music from the group Giant Panda Guerilla Dub Squad, a reggae and jam band that originated from Rochester, NY. Opening for the group is Judah.

    Bands on the Bricks will also have multiple food and drink options and merchandise. The event is held at the Rochester Public Market at 5:30 p.m. Attendees are asked to bring folding chairs.

    Movies in the Park — ‘The Lion King’

    Monroe County will be screening Disney’s ‘The Lion King’ at the Seneca Park Zoo as part of its Movies in the Park series. The screening will start after dusk. Open captioning will be offered.

    Saturday, July 27

    Save Our Sodus Bay Day Celebration

    Local non-profit group Save Our Sodus will host its Bay Day Celebration after 25 years of ecological stewardship. Guests will be able to see free nature exhibits, demonstrations, vendors, and artisan booths.

    The event will be held at Oscar Fuerst Baseball Field in Sodus Point from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
