    Rochester Airshow, Puerto Rican Fest, and more events this week!

    Bills Training Camp

    The Buffalo Bills will be practicing at St. John Fisher University on Thursday, August, 1. They have days off on Wednesday and Saturday this week. They will be returning to Highmark Stadium on Friday for the Return of the Blue and Red.

    The Bills will return to St. John Fisher next week on Sunday, August 4 at 11:45 a.m.

    Rochester Red Wings

    The Red Wings are once again home this week and are playing against the Omaha Storm Chasers. Here are the following dates and times:

    • Wednesday, July 31 at 1:05 p.m.
    • Thursday, August 1, at 6:45 p.m.
    • Friday, August 2 at 6:45 p.m.
    • Saturday, August 3 at 6:45 p.m.
    • Sunday, August 4 at 1:05 p.m.

    In addition, David Koechner of “The Office” fame will be appearing at the Red Wings game on Thursday, August 1! You can find tickets for that game and others on the Red Wings’ website.

    Wednesday, July 31

    Food Truck Rodeo

    The Food Truck Rodeo is back at the Rochester Public Market on Wednesday. Attendees will be able to try out a variety of food trucks from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and enjoy a live performance by Big Blue House.

    Midday Bash

    Midday Bash will be held in Parcel 5 every Wednesday through mid-September. The event is run from 11:30 a.m. through 1:30 p.m. and guests can enjoy food trucks, music, games, and more.

    Downtown Rochester Farmer’s Market

    The Farmer’s Market is open every Wednesday at Parcel 5 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. up until October 23. Residents will be able to pick up fresh produce and locally-made food and beverages from farmers, vendors, and food trucks.

    Reggae Night at Concerts by the Shore

    Ignite Reggae will be the main performance in this week’s Concerts by the Shore. The show begins at 7 p.m.

    The next performance will be on August 7 with the band Junkyard Field Trip!

    Thursday, August 1

    Puerto Rican Festival

    Starting on this day — The Puerto Rican Festival will take place at Parcel 5 until Saturday, August 3. The event will feature live music, Puerto Rican food, and cultural events. It will run Thursday and Friday at 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. and Saturday from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.

    Party in the Park

    Party in the Park continues this week with a performance by Talking Heads tribute band “Start Making Sense.” As always, the performance is held at Martin Luther King Jr. Park. Gates open at 6 p.m., opening acts start at 7 p.m., and headliners perform at 8:30 p.m.

    Jason Aldean at Darien Lake

    Jason Aldean will be bringing his Highway Desperado Tour to the Darien Lake Amphitheater. The “Try That in a Small Town” singer will be kicking off the show at 7:30 p.m.

    Friday, August 2

    Bands on the Bricks

    The Zac Brown Tribute Band will be headlining this week’s Bands on the Bricks concert, featuring an opening act by the Monica Hall Band. As always, guests are asked to bring folding chairs.

    Saturday, August 3

    A.P. Property Services Rochester Airshow

    The annual airshow returns to the Frederick Douglass Greater Rochester International Airport starting Saturday until Sunday, August 4. Highlights for this year’s airshow include the Frecce Tricolori, the CAF RISE ABOVE Exhibit, several demos and performances, and more.

    Park Avenue Summer Stroll

    The Park Avenue Summer Stroll will be held in lieu of the Summer Arts Festival — featuring multiple vendors and businesses along Park Ave. The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
