ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – Perinton Ambulance has received national recognition for its ability to provide effective and quality life-saving care for patients.

It was awarded the American Heart Association’s Mission: Lifeline EMS Gold achievement award. According to AHA’s website, gold recognizes positive performances from organizations over 24 consecutive months or more. It’s a step-up from the bronze they were awarded just two years ago.

Officials with Perinton Ambulance said the reward puts a spotlight on its ability to offer fast-working, research-based care to patients with severe heart attacks or strokes.

Mission: Lifeline EMS is a national initiative spearheaded by AHA that aims to improve care for patients with more severe, time-sensitive emergencies.

“Perinton Ambulance is honored to be recognized by the American Heart Association for our
dedication to providing optimal care for heart attack patients,” said James Hamon, Chief of
    Operations.
