Woman arrested for nearly hitting officers with car, police say
Burlington, VT- A Winooski woman is facing charges for almost hitting officers with her car and then evading arrest, according to Burlington Police Department. Police say Tiffany Billings, 32, was parked on Main St near South Winooski Avenue while police reported an incident there at about 1:45 am Sunday. This section of the road was closed to traffic and only open for parking.

National Grid is asking for its biggest rate hike in several decades. Now, the utility is getting pushback from protests across the state, including central New York. Protesters took to the streets in front of the Syracuse National Grid offices opposing rate hikes in favor of legislation that addresses energy affordability and climate change. Brattleboro police are looking into what happened to a man whose body was found floating in the Whetstone Brook Saturday morning. North Carolina man arrested with AR-15 outside New York State Fairgrounds
GEDDES, N.Y. — A North Carolina man was arrested by New York State Troopers Saturday for possessing an AR-15 in his truck parked outside the New York State Fairgrounds.
