    A lifelong dream achieved.

Jay Schueler continues the Rock Falls factory of pitchers — alongside the Brewers’ Jake Junis and Rays’ Seth Blair — to join a Major League Baseball organization signing as a undrafted free agent with the Toronto Blue Jays.

It only took one scout to recognize Schueler’s ability, throwing for Southeastern against Grand View in Des Moines this spring.

After playing summer ball in the Okatoks League, breaking his nose and fully healing, Schueler got the call.

Schueler signed and reports to Jays draft camp later this week in Florida.

“The first thought signing that paper was I persevered. This is all the hard work my coaches and I have gone through,” Schueler said. “It’s finally here and such an honor to play professional baseball. It’s one of the biggest honors you can get a call for. When I first got to the facility, I said this place is sick. It’s actually one of the newest baseball development complexes in baseball right now. Amazing access to a lot of good things. I feel at home here playing the last two years here in Lakeland, Florida, just an hour and some change away. Being at home and working outside in the heat again.”
