    Sentenced: Convicted drug dealer had stolen gun in Rock Hill, DOJ says

    CHESTER, S.C. ( QUEEN CITY N EWS ) — A convicted crack dealer who was found to have a stolen gun has been sentenced for gun possession as a felon, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of South Carolina announced.

    Montell Cousar, 33, of Chester, will serve nearly three years after he pled guilty to possession of a gun as a convicted felon.

    Court records stated that in May of 2023, Rock Hill Police responded to calls regarding a fight at a local restaurant. Cousar was found at the scene with a stolen gun.

    Cousar had previously been convicted in a 2019 shooting case that injured one person. He also had a prior conviction on crack cocaine drug distribution charges.
