Lt. Governor, Kentucky State Police Hold Awards Ceremony To Honor Civilian Employees
FRANKFORT, Ky. (July 30, 2024) – Lt. Gov. Jacqueline Coleman and the Kentucky State Police (KSP) recently honored 15 civilian employees for their dedication to enhancing public safety. Awards presented include the 2023 Civilian of the Year, Career Achievement, Police Communications Support, and Supervisor of the Year, among others. KSP’s 800 civilian employees serve in a variety of roles from telecommunications, maintenance, driver testing, information technology, public relations, and records support.

Summer Vibes Music Festival returns to Franklin in August
Summer is winding down, but the music is going to be cranked up in downtown Franklin, Kentucky for the 4th Annual Summer Vibes Music Festival on Saturday, Aug. 24. The 90’s rock band Everclear will headline the festival on the City of Franklin Stage in the heart of downtown Franklin. One of the leading alternative rock bands to emerge from the 90’s, Everclear has sold over 6 million records and had 12 Top 40 hit singles in Mainstream Rock, Alternative and Adult Top 40 radio. Their hits include “Santa Monica,” “Father of Mine,” and “I Will Buy You a New Life.” Everclear received a Grammy nomination in 1998. The band will take the stage around 8pm.
