Two suspects are wanted in connection with a June homicide in Rockford.

Eric Townsend Sr., 51, and Timothy Chatman, 42, both of Rockford, have been charged with first-degree murder after a shooting in the 1000 block of Haskell Avenue on June 26.

Rockford police said the shooting happened just after 6 p.m. When officers arrived at the scene, they found 29-year-old Marquell Reddic on the sidewalk with multiple gunshot wounds.

Reddic was taken to the hospital where he died from his injuries, police said.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Townsend Sr. or Chatman are being asked to contact the Rockford Police Department at 815-966-2900 or Crime Stoppers at 815-963-7867.
