Rockford warns of heat up to 110° Monday, opens cooling centers

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — The City of Rockford is warning residents to expect extreme heat on Monday, with 90° temperatures expected to feel like 100-110° due to humidity.

The National Weather Service has placed Lee, Ogle DeKalb, Stephenson, Jo-Daviess, Whiteside, and Carroll County under a HEAT ADVISORY until 8 pm this evening.

The City announced the following cooling centers for residents without air-conditioned homes:
