Angela Kay Larson becomes new CEO of Rockford Chamber of Commerce

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — The Greater Rockford Chamber of Commerce announced Angela Kay Larson as the new CEO on Monday.

The Chamber said their hope is that Larson, a long-time Rockford resident, can blend her knowledge of the area with decades of experience, having worked with several organizations including the Chicago Rockford International Airport and UW Health SwedishAmerican hospital.

“It’s a lot of opportunity to not only grow the businesses that are here but to attract new businesses, and collaborate with all the organizations in town that play a role in economic development. So that we’re all doing it together,” she said.

Larson’s hiring comes after the Chamber of Commerce, Rockford Economic Development Council, and Rockford Growth Partnership merged in September.

Larson will begin her new position in the first week of August.
