With a month to go before it opens, Rockford’s Hard Rock Casino looks to fill dozens of jobs

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Hard Rock Casino Rockford will officially open its doors on Thursday, August 29th, and the company is still looking to hire workers to fill 54 open positions.

Hard Rock Rockford will hold a hiring event on Wednesday, July 31st from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Radisson Hotel, at 200 S. Bell School Road.

The casino has 54 positions listed on its website , and says it is looking for Asian cuisine cooks to staff its YoutYu restaurant; A/V technicians, beverage managers, cooks, security officers, stage hands, floor supervisors, cashiers, attendants, valets, servers, ushers, baristas, a butcher, dealers, and more.

The casino is offering up to $2,000 in sign on bonuses.

The Nielsen Trust, featuring Cheap Trick guitarist Rick Nielsen, will perform at the Hard Rock Live concert venue within the casino, on Thursday, August 29th.

The casino’s facade will be adorned with a giant Rick Nielsen guitar replica.

The doors of the Hard Rock will officially open to the public at 3 p.m. on Thursday the 29th, with Akon scheduled to perform that evening. Joan Jett and the Blackhearts and Brad Paisley will perform on Saturday and Sunday.

Hard Rock Rockford is located at 7801 E. State Street.

The casino will also have three restaurants, a concert venue, and a music lounge, featuring 1,300 slot machines, 50 live table games including a poker room, a state-of-the-art sportsbook, six unique restaurants, and a Rock Shop offering authentic Hard Rock merchandise and more.
