ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Police arrested Retavian Jefferson, 26, on multiple outstanding warrants and Tiashayla Marshall, 26, for allegedly fleeing police.

On Tuesday, around 8 p.m., SCOPE officers attempted a traffic stop near 19th Street and 16th Avenue with Jefferson, Marshall and a child in the car. Marshall, the driver, fled in the car, according to a release.

Soon after, the vehicle was stopped and Jefferson was taken into custody and lodged in the Winnebago County Jail.

Marshall is being charged with fleeing to elude officers, various traffic offenses and child endangerment.
