Here is the Rockford Register Star's Athlete of the Week winner for April 22-27

After over 100,000 votes, this week's winner of the Rockford Register Star's High School Athlete of the Week poll is in: and it's Polo softball star Cheyenna Wilkins.

Wilkins has been on a tear and last week she struck out 11 and gave up just three hits in Polo's 15-4 win over Eastland last Thursday while also going 2-for-3 with an RBI at the plate. She followed that up by garnering 40,934 votes to pull away for the win in the poll for the week of April 22-27.

Other nominees were: Polo's Nolan Hahn; Du/Pec's Lola Robertson and Jonathon Hartline; Guilford's Zariah Burnett; Oregon's Olivia Paul and Gracen Pitts and Jack Washburn; and Le-Win's Jake Schumacher.
