The Winnebago County Coroner's Office has identified the man who was killed in a shooting Tuesday as 25-year-old Camron Rose.

Rockford Police Department officers found Rose when they responded to a residence on the 400 block of South 5th Street at approximately 11:15 a.m. Tuesday. He was dead from apparent gunshot wounds, according to a preliminary investigation.

An autopsy later confirmed that Rose died from gunshot wounds.
