Last September, someone bought a winning Powerball ticket in Loves Park.

Almost one year later, the winner still hasn't claimed their $100,000 prize.

The ticket was purchased at the Road Ranger convenience store at 7500 East Riverside Boulevard for the Sep. 9, 2023, drawing.

It expires on Sep. 8 this year.

"The Illinois Lottery is keen to unite the winner and their winnings, and is calling on all Powerball players who have visited Loves Park, Illinois, to check anywhere they may have tucked away a lottery ticket," the lottery said in an Aug. 16 news release.

Winners have one year from the original draw date to claim their prize, and this Powerball ticket worth $100,000 is set to expire on September 8.

There are currently 8 significant unclaimed Illinois Lottery prizes. Two others were purchased in Rockford.

One, a $100,000 Powerball ticket from May 13, was bought at Valli Produce. The other — a Mega Millions ticket worth $1 million — was purchased on July 26 at Casey's.

In total, the unclaimed Illinois Lottery tickets are worth $3.8 million.
