Rockingham County fire crews to burn house later this week for training exercise
DAYTON, Va. (ROCKTOWN NOW) – In case folks in the Dayton area see a lot of smoke on Thursday, do not be alarmed. The Rockingham County Fire and Rescue Department will be conducting a training session and it includes burning down a house. Assistant Fire Marshall and Division Chief Joe Mullens explained how that training will work on Early Mornings Monday.

Attending were the FOP, FOP Auxiliary, and FOP Associate Lodge members.President Frank Earman opened the meeting and gave the following reports: He thanked the people who helped clean up Manuel Trenary Memorial Highway on the Black’s Run Cleanup-Earth Day. He also reminded members that the Retired Law Enforcement Officers Breakfast will be at 8:30 a.m. Friday, June 21 at the Galley.
