OBITUARY: Faye Brigman Yates

Faye Brigman Yates, 86, of Rockingham, passed away Thursday, June 27, 2024 at Richmond Co. Hospice in Rockingham.

She was born Feb. 2, 1938 in Richmond County, a daughter of the late Conley and Maggie Smith Brigman.

Mrs. Yates retired from Sandhurst Hosiery Mill and attended 3 Rock Church. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie “Buddy” Yates, in 2018.

The family will receive friends Monday, July 1, 2024 from noon-1 p.m. at Watson-King Funeral Home in Rockingham. A graveside service will follow shortly after at Richmond Co. Memorial Park with the Rev. Joel Perry officiating.

Surviving, two sons, Charles Yates and wife Teresa and Kenneth Yates and wife Cendi; a sister, Donna Sue Brigman Aldridge; grandchildren, J.R. Bell, Tony Dixon and wife Angie, Jennifer Drumwright and husband Michael, Alan Yates, and Ashley Jenkins and husband Justin; great-grandchildren, Kenneth Nunn, Tyme Nunn, Erin Drumwright, Avery Johnson, Colt Jenkins, Chase Drumwright, Elijah Yates, Jackson Jenkins and Rylen Yates; great-great-grandchildren, Harlyn Nunn and Wylie Nunn.
