OBITUARY: Rebecca Helms Evans

Rebecca Helms Evans (Becky) passed away on June 29, 2024 after a brief stay at Richmond Co. Hospice Haven.

Becky was born Jan. 15, 1949 and is the daughter of the late Coy and Celia McLean Helms.

Becky is preceded in death by her husband, Gil Evans; her sister, Hazel Livingston; and her dearest friend, Alice Thomas.

A graveside service will be conducted Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at 11 a.m. at Richmond Co. Memorial Park Mausoleum with Pastor Chris Thornton officiating.

Becky is survived by her children, Kim and Richard Holmes, Brian Evans and Bert Evans; grandchildren, Ashton and Shane Wood, Cameron and Jon Ricks, Cortney and Nick Webb, Reid Holmes and Emily Wanek, Campbell and Landon Evans, and Caleb and Dylan Evans; great-grandchildren Lennyn and Ryleigh Ricks, and Mason Webb, her special dancing girl and sugarbear; brothers and wives, Larry and Gail Helms, Wayne and Sherry Helms, and Andy and Teresa Helms.

Memorials may be made to Richmond Co. Hospice 1119 N. U.S. Hwy. 1 N. Rockingham, N.C. 28379.
