Patricia “Pat” Sellers Roscoe, 79, of Rockingham, passed away Wednesday, July 3, 2024 at her home.
She was born April 19, 1945 in Richmond County, daughter of the late Lawrence Thomas Steen and Catherine Louise Dawkins Steen.
Pat worked as a dispatcher with Rockingham Police Department, retiring after more than 30 years of service. She was a member of Outreach for Jesus.
Pat enjoyed going to the beach, reading, and attending ballgames in support of her grandchildren. “MawMaw,” as she was affectionately known, loved spending time with her family and taking care of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be missed dearly by her family.
Along with her parents, Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Earl James Roscoe Jr.; grandchildren, Joe Sellers, Michael Sellers and Timothy Sellers; brother, Bunk Steen; and sisters, Betty Spires and Jean Huffman.
Left to cherish her memories are her children, Tim Sellers (Dawn) of Rockingham, Lisa Russell of Moore County, Kay Blue (Alex) of Hamlet, and Cindy Lassiter (Tim) of Rockingham; grandchildren, Dustin Braddock (Brittany), Bud Braddock, Harold Sellers (Angel), Matthew Sellers, Donald Russell (Leah), Mike Allison (Whitney) and Candace Allison (Willie); 20 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; brothers, Ronnie Steen of Holden Beach and Buddy Steen of Hamlet; and sisters, Darline McCray of Rockingham and Terry Jones of Hamlet.
Visitation will be Saturday, July 6, 2024 from 11 a.m.-noon at Harrington Funeral Home, Hamlet.
The funeral service will immediately follow visitation in the chapel of Harrington Funeral Home, beginning at noon, with Pastor Michael Carpenter officiating. Burial will follow at Richmond County Memorial Park.
