    Wayne Harold Wheeler

    Mr. Wayne Harold Wheeler

    Mr. Wayne Harold Wheeler , age 83, of Rockmart, GA, passed away Thursday, July 4, 2024, at his residence.

    Mr. Wheeler was born in Rockmart on December 9, 1940, a son of the late Joseph Gordon Wheeler and Mary Ella Pinkard Wheeler.

    He had lived the greater part of his life in Rockmart and was a member of Bellview Baptist Church. Mr. Wheeler was a veteran of the United States Navy.

    He was a truck mechanic for many years and in recent years was the owner/operator of Cedartown Pawn Shop. Mr. Wheeler enjoyed square dancing and was always up for a trip to go hunting, fishing and camping.

    In addition to his parents, Mr. Wheeler was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Jennings Wheeler, on May 9, 2008, whom he married July 3, 1965. Two brothers, Howard Wheeler and Gordon Wheeler, also preceded him in death.

    Mr. Wheeler is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Joe and Jamie Wheeler, and Carl and Lisa Wheeler; brother, Bill (Ann) Wheeler. Five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren also survive.

    Funeral services for Mr. Wheeler will be Sunday, July 7, 2024, at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Purser officiating. Interment will follow in Bellview Baptist Church Cemetery.

    Mr. Wheeler’s family will receive friends at Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until the funeral hour.

    Pallbearers will include Brent Wheeler, Joseph Landrum, Josh Wheeler, Jared Wheeler, Tristan Davis and Marshall Campbell.

    Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home & Crematory has charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Wayne Harold Wheeler.
