    Hononegah girls bowl their way to IHSA sectional competition

    ROCKFORD — Junior Emilee Mullranin shot a 1,227 score to help Hononegah’s girls bowling team finish second in the IHSA Rockford East Regional at Don Carter Lanes.

    The Indians finished with a 5,699 score to advance to the DeKalb Sectional as one of the top four teams. Harlem won the title with a 6,081 score. Rockford Guilford (5,495) and Rockford East (5,459) also advanced.

    Sophomore Allison Roberts of Harlem earned medalist honors with a 1,283 score. Mullranin was fourth. Hononegah freshman Riley Flaningham was eighth with a 1,165 score. Senior Cassidy Davenport was 11th at 1,153. Rounding out Hononegah’s scorers were senior Piper Ennett (1,114) and junior Kailyn Davis (1,055).
