CARY, Ill.—Hononegah relief pitcher Jakob DeLeo had just allowed Cary-Grove’s PJ Weaver to bring a runner home on a sacrifice fly and cut the Indians’ lead to 3-2 with two outs in the seventh.

In a 2-2 count with Peyton Seaburg, DeLeo froze the Trojan for strike three and sealed Hononegah’s non-conference win over Carly-Grove on Saturday.

The Indians (4-3-1) recorded four hits as the Trojans (4-4) put six different pitchers on the mound.
