Briella Sendele and Jocelyn Bennett were longtime teammates in both Stateline Fury travel softball and in high school with the Hononegah Indians.

This weekend, though, the college freshmen could square off as adversaries in the NJCAA DII Region 4 Super Regional at Black Hawk College in Moline, Ill.

Sendele plays right field for #1 overall seed Rock Valley (29-13), while Bennett plays third base for #2 seed Bryant & Stratton of Wisconsin (37-4).

The top two teams out of the Super Regional advance to play in the NJCAA DII National Tournament in Spartenburg, S.C.

Rock Valley opens up at noon Saturday against #5 Madison College. At 2 p.m., #3 Kankakee plays Bryant & Stratton. The losers of those two games play at 4 p.m. while the winners meet at 6 p.m. in the District A Championship.
