    Hononegah well-represented on 2024 All-NIC-10 boys and girls track & field teams

    ROCKTON — Hononegah boys and girls track & field teams are well-represented on the 2024 All-NIC-10 squads.

    The girls all-conference First Team includes eight Indians: sophomore Jordan Dimke (300-meter hurdles), sophomore Kylie Simpson (800), senior Allyson Niedfeldt (3200 relay), junior Isabella Trout (3200 relay), senior Lauren Frake (3200 relay), junior Keila Borges Aragon (1600 relay), senior Amelia Bronnimann (pole vault) and senior Sophia Hedges (long jump).

    Hononegah junior Ashlyn Richter earned Special Mention in the sprints.

    The Boys First Team includes Hononegah sophomore Coen Lee (300 hurdles), sophomore Landon Samuelson (3200), junior Jacob Benson (shot put) and senior Alex Bartch (discus).

    Junior Cristian Lobato (sprints) and Jack McLarty (field events) earned Special Mention from Hononegah.

    Messiah Tilson of Rockford Guilford is the Boys Track MVP and Belvidere North’s Braedon Brown is the Boys Field MVP. Ken Husser of Belvidere North is Coach of the Year and Boylan earned the Sportsmanship Award.

    For the girls, Auburn’s Essence Horton-Graves is the Track MVP and Guilford’s Zariah Burnett is Field MVP. Greg Ford is the Coach of the Year and Boylan earned the Sportsmanship Award.
