    Rockton Police issue reminder on curfew amid rise in juvenile vandalism

    ROCKTON, Ill. (WTVO) — Rockton Police remind parents of village curfew for juveniles in the face of increased vandalism.

    Police said most of the incidents are happening overnight past designated curfew times set by the village’s ordinance, according to a Rockton Police Facebook post .

    Authorities said they want to remind parents and juveniles are subject to citation. Officials called for parents to assist them by making sure children are home safe overnight.

    According to village ordinance 132.02, children under 18 have a curfew of 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday through Thursday and 12:01 a.m. to 6 a.m. on weekends.

    The ordinance also says children under 16 have a curfew of 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday through Thursday and 11:01 a.m. to 6 a.m. on weekends.
