Five from Piscataway Named to University of Hartford’s Honor's Lists
WEST HARTFORD, CT -- The University of Hartford announced that 1,927 students have been named to the Dean's List and President's List for the Spring 2024 semester. The Dean's List recognizes students achieving superior academic standing. To be placed on the President's List, students must maintain a GPA of at least 3.75 and receive grades of C or better. As the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge celebrates 10 years, Connecticut continues tradition
MILFORD, Conn. — The summer of 2024 marks the 10th anniversary of the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, which brought amyotrophic lateral sclerosis international awareness. Since the challenge was started by Anthony Senerchia, Pat Quinn and Pete Frates in 2014, all of whom since passed away from the disease, the viral sensation has raised awareness and funds for ALS research and support services.

(Stafford Springs, CT)—Stafford Speedway hosted its five weekly racing divisions along with open modified cars as part of the GAF Roofing Modified Masters program on Friday, July 26th. Mikey Flynn was the big winner of the night taking his first career SK Modified® feature victory in the 40-lap feature event. Adam Gray was a Late Model feature winner for the second consecutive week, Chris Matthews was a first time 2024 winner in the SK Light feature, Matt Clement notched his second win of the season in the Limited Late Model feature, and Jason Lafayette scored his second win of 2024 in the Street Stock feature.
Ronnie Silk Wins GAF Roofing Modified Masters
(Stafford Springs, CT)—Open Modified cars returned to Stafford Motor Speedway on Friday, July 26th for the $12,000 to win, 100-lap GAF Roofing Modified Masters feature event that was originally scheduled for Wednesday, July 17th.
