2 swimmers with Connecticut ties win silver medals at the Paris Olympics
Multiple Connecticut swimmers competed in the pool at the Paris Olympics on Saturday and two won silver medals. Kate Douglass competed on the US team for the 4x100 freestyle relay in the preliminary heats. Gretchen Walsh, who grew up in Greenwich, didn't swim in the preliminary, but would swim with the team in the final later in the day.

Hartford Athletic picked up a point at home in their scoreless draw against Phoenix Rising FC tonight. Though ending scoreless, tonight’s matchup was not short of scoring opportunities. Hartford wasted no time setting the tone for a strong offensive presence, crashing Phoenix’s attacking third right out of the gate. The Green and Blue saw their first chance at an early lead with less than 10 minutes on the clock after they were awarded a free kick right outside Phoenix’s box. HARTFORD, CT (WFSB) - Two men were arrested after a child exploitation operation in Hartford Thursday.
