    Rockville Rotary preps Hobo Stew for veterans, donates to FFA

    ROCKVILLE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Officials with the Rockville Rotary Club made a donation to a local agricultural education organization.

    Members of the Parke Heritage High School FFA accepted a donation to their organization from the Rotary at the end of the Parke County 4-H fair. Rotary officials also thanked the FFA group for their assistance in serving a Rotary sponsored meal during the fair.

    The Rotary Club of Rockville is one of over 42,000 Rotary International clubs world-wide promoting community service, peace and understanding. The Club normally meets on Monday evenings at 5:30 p.m. at the Thirty-Six Saloon family room.

    The club is also inviting all U.S. military veterans and active duty military members to eat a free meal as their club holds their July 29 meeting. The club’s members will be whipping up a “hobo stew” picnic consisting of vegetables from their garden and sides provided by Rotarians and gardeners.

    That event will be held at the Parke County Community Garden.
