    Family of 6 displaced after fire breaks out at home in Rockville

    MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. ( DC News Now ) — Fire officials in Montgomery County said a family was displaced after their home caught fire early Monday morning.

    In a post on the X platform, David Pazos, the Assistant Chief with the Montgomery County Fire Rescue, said that just before 1 a.m., crews were called to the 900 block of N Stonestreet for a house fire.

    Once on the scene, firefighters discovered flames outside the house, and the family’s exit was blocked off.

    As a result, officials said the family of six were forced to jump off their deck.

    There were no reported injuries.

    As of Monday morning, the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
