Letter: Debate showed candidates' true selves

My choice for whom I will vote will not be determined by the results of the presidential debate. All the debate showed was the difference between the two candidates. One individual proved himself to be an egocentric liar. The other showed he was an elderly man who at times loses his train of thought. What is key for my vote is the character of the individual and what type of people he will assign to critical advisory positions.

The egocentric liar's assignments to these positions were the most of any administration in my lifetime that were charged and convicted of crimes against this country. Any of his assignees who question his ability to preside over this nation were fired and called names.

The other candidate's selected people were well-qualified for their assignments and proved to give good advice to this president. Also, none were charged with any crimes.

I feel it is very important for a president to select advisors who put the well-being of the nation before self-interest. It is crystal-clear to me which candidate I think has the well-being of the nation in mind. I will select an elderly individual who may lose his train of thought but selects advisors who have the well-being of the nation in mind over an egocentric liar who selects self-serving individuals every time.
