Michael Allen with Boone, Hill, Allen & Ricks Real Estate recently welcomed two new agents to the fold. Leeann Miller and Rachel Batts joined the firm located at 2311 Sunset Ave.

Miller was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Penn., where both of her parents were real estate brokers. Real estate and property management were often the dinner table topics, Miller said. At an early age she learned the importance of listening to clients and providing them with great customer service.

Miller attended Ohio University in Athens, Ohio, where she received a bachelor of arts degree with a double major in marketing and management. She worked for several years in marketing and sales for Apex Tools, an industrial manufacturer in Dayton, Ohio. She then worked full-time as a graduate assistant at the University of Dayton, where she received a master of business administration degree.

While attending graduate school, she married her husband, Jack E. Miller. They have three children, Lauren Oesterling, Emily Chakalos and John Michael Miller. The family also includes six sweet grandchildren.

The Millers relocated to Rocky Mount 11 years ago for work. They are members of the Church of the Good Shepherd in Rocky Mount. In her spare time, Leeann Miller loves baking, cooking and traveling. She has been selling real estate for eight years and prides herself in providing excellent service to both her buyers and sellers. She said she is excited to join the team, where she can use her expertise to serve her clients.

Batts was born and raised in Rocky Mount and graduated from Southwest Edgecombe High School in 2021. She pursued a career in real estate straight out of high school.

In her free time, Batts likes to read, drink coffee, hang out with family and friends and learn new things. She has a two-year old dog named Ozzy. Batts and her parents, Michael and Jamie Batts, attend church at Servant’s Heart Fellowship in Rocky Mount. Her dad sings and plays guitar on the worship team.

Rachel Batts said she is thankful to join Boone, Hill, Allen & Ricks Real Estate and is excited to be able to work with her two cousins, Michael Allen and Stephanie Webb, and learn from their knowledge of real estate.

Boone, Hill, Allen & Ricks specializes in residential and commercial property sales and rentals.
