The high school football schedule for the Twin Counties kicks off on Friday with seven games on the schedule.
Six teams are at home: Northern Nash, Southern Nash, Faith Christian, Tarboro, SouthWest Edgecombe and Faith Christian.
It will be a special night at Tarboro during the Vikings’ opener at Rocky Mount. The 1984 state 3A championship team, the first in school history, will be recognized.
On Saturday, Rocky Mount Academy plays its second game on the road at Brunswick Academy.
Week Two will see four games on Thursday (Aug. 29) as Northern Nash, Southern Nash, Tarboro and Rocky Mount Academy will hit the gridiron, while SouthWest Edgecombe at Nash Central, Vance County at Rocky Mount and Berean Baptist at RMA highlight the Friday (Aug. 30) slate.
