Rocky Top’s Coal Creek Miners Museum needs your help
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - The Coal Creek Miners Museum in Rocky Top is building a memorial walk to honor the coal miners of East Tennessee!. For it to happen, though, the museum needs some help from the public. It’s hosting a brick fundraiser to help raise money for the walk and for the museum’s upkeep.

Musician William “Rusty” Golden, son of Country Music Hall of Famer and Oak Ridge Boys member William Lee Golden, has passed away. Golden was 65 years old. Rusty passed away at his home in Hendersonville, Tennessee, on Monday, July 1. The cause of his death was not disclosed.

Two local parades on July 4
Love a parade? There are two neighborhood ones on July 4th in Farragut or Powell. The Farragut Independence Day parade is an annual event from 9:30 a.m.- noon, beginning at intersection of Kingston Pike and Stadium Drive then traveling to Boring Road. Make sure to arrive early to snag the best seats to view the floats, bands, dancers, animals, antique cars and more.
