In the late hours of Saturday evening, YCSO received a report from a man that he had just been robbed at knifepoint by 58-year-old Hector Carattini from Boise, Idaho. The victim told Deputies he and the suspect had a dispute over $10 that the victim gave the suspect to give him a ride. When the victim changed his mind and asked for the money back, the suspect grabbed a knife and threatened the victim. The victim left the scene unharmed and was able to give Deputies a detailed description of the suspect’s vehicle.

BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — The Boise City Council is reviewing options on how best to wind down the use of the Red Lion "hotel shelter," in downtown Boise. The "Hotel shelter" began in 2020 during the rise of COVID. The City identified homeless people and those determined to be "medically fragile" as needing an alternative housing solution than those provided by traditional shelters.
