ROGERSVILLE — Cross country team captain Brayden Brown at Rogersville City School was honored with the prestigious Al Reushel Memorial Scholar-Athlete Award, which is presented to an eighth grader who participates in at least two sports and maintains the highest cumulative GPA within their class.

Brown, the team captain on the cross country team, was also presented the Bob Moncier Memorial “Fight Like a Warrior” Award. The qualifications for the award, voted on by his peers, are based on leadership, team spirit, being a good example to the student-athlete population and so much more.

“RCSXC could not be more proud of Brayden for the influence and dedication he brought to our program,” the team posted in social media.
