Indie rock titans The National have had a busy couple of years. They released two albums, First Two Pages of Frankenstein and Laugh Track in 2023, while guitarist Aaron Dessner co-produced Taylor Swift’s latest album, The Tortured Poets Department , released earlier this year. The band, currently touring Europe, will kick off a US tour in September alongside The War on Drugs. Dubbed the Zen Diagram tour, the North American tour includes dates in New York, Philadelphia, Toronto, Chicago, Seattle, Los Angeles, and Mexico City. The Zen Diagram Tour will be supported by Lucius on all but the Mexico City dates.
The First Two Pages of Frankenstein was dubbed a “remarkable reassertion of the band’s potency” in the Rolling Stone review, and it landed at number 13 on the 40 Best Indie Rock Albums of 2023 .
