Dear Old Shiz: How to Pre-Order Ariana Grande & Cynthia Erivo’s ‘Wicked’ Dolls Online

For years we’ve waited for a Wicked screen adaptation, and not only are we now about to see one of the biggest Broadway musicals of all time on the silver screen, its getting its own limited-edition doll collection. Based on the appearances in the movie helmed by Jon M. Chu, you can now pre-order dolls inspired by Ariana Grande as Glinda, Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba and Marissa Bode as Nessarose online starting today.

The new Mattel line has three variants — fashion dolls, deluxe dolls, and singing dolls, retailing for $24.99 to $39.99 (including the Deluxe Elphaba Fashion Doll and Deluxe Glinda Fashion Doll). Fans of the original musical or of the upcoming release can snag these collectibles at Target , Amazon , and Walmart , in addition to the Mattel Shop. While the collection won’t officially be released until Sept. 28, you can pre-order all the dolls online now, including the Singing Elphaba Fashion Doll ($24.99) that’s only available exclusively at Target .

Last week, Grande and Erivo shared a sneak peek at the Wicked dolls in an Instagram video . “It’s perfect,” Grande said while looking at the doll. “I love that it got my anxious eyebrows,” she laughs. “What a dream come true to be realized as Elphaba and Glinda in the form of Sweet Little dolls. Little Cynthia and Little Ari are pleased,” the Oscar-nominated actress wrote in the post.

Based on Grande’s look from the film, the Glinda fashion doll captures her likeness to a ‘T,’ with the iconic pink dress and Grande’s long, blonde hairstyle. The deluxe dress features Glinda in a poofy, ruffled pink ballgown with shimmering foil bubble detailing. The Elphaba fashion doll takes on Erivo’s license (including her “baby hair” as Erivo pointed out in the Instagram video), and features her signature witch’s hat, long, braided hair and green skin. The singing variants allow fans to sing along with “Popular” for Glinda and “Defying Gravity” for Elphaba.

The release of these exclusive figures comes off the heels of other Wicked merch that fans can pre-order, such as the Lego Shiz University dormitory and Emerald City collectible sets , both of which will release on Oct. 1.
