The film is a standalone prequel, with no direct connection to the main Transformers film series. Dubbed the Bayverse, the live-action Transformers films comprise five Michael Bay films and two prequels, Bumblee and Transformers: Rise of the Beasts .

Transformers: The Complete Original Series

The original Transformers series, which first aired in 1984 and ran until 1987 is available to stream on free services like Pluto , Tubi , and The Roku Channel . Fans can also pick up the original series on DVD, and it’s available from Amazon, Target and Walmart.

The show debuted on September 17, 1984, meaning that Transformers One is releasing 40 years to the week of the TV show’s debut.
