Eras Tour: Stanley Releases New Cup Collection Paying Homage to Decades of Iconic Barbie Looks

Forget the plastic — life in stainless steel really is fantastic. Known for making hydration stylish, Stanley has introduced a brand new Quencher collection that celebrates Barbie through all her dazzling decades, from that iconic black and white-striped swimsuit in 1959, to the tubular “Barbie and the Rockers” era of the Eighties.
These limited-edition Barbie x Stanley styles are here to celebrate the doll’s 65th anniversary, proving once again, that the Summer of Barbie will never really end. The collection includes eight Quenchers with bold colorways, each representing an “unforgettable Barbie moment” from a different decade — and don’t worry, they haven’t forgotten about Ken, too (you can wrangle up your own “Western Ken”-themed tumbler with a stitched print and a silver buckle). The collection also includes a Barbie Icon Quencher which features a bright pop of “Barbie pink” and that classic logo for anyone who simply can’t choose which of these fashionista’s most iconic looks to put in their Dream House.
While you don’t have to be a collector to appreciate these designs, there are enough references and nods to Mattel collections of yore that will hit that nostalgia vibe for anyone who grew up owning a dreamy, poofy-dressed Peaches ‘N Cream Barbie or the glamorously gold-adorned Dynamite Barbie, the first black Barbie doll. Like ticketing for the Eras Tour of Barbies, the Barbie x Stanley Capsule Quenchers are available exclusively on stanley1913.com with two Quenchers rolling out each day at 9:00 a.m. from Sept. 16 through Sept. 20. Each 40 oz tumbler costs $60 each, while the Barbie Icon Quencher is also offered in a slightly smaller 30 oz and retails for $50.
“The Barbie x Stanley collaboration is a dream come true for a designer, bringing together two legendary brands at the center of the cultural zeitgeist,” said Juan Navarro, CMF Designer at Stanley, in a press release. “And – much of my inspiration came from my sister, and the excitement and wonder her Barbies brought to her when we were children. I hope this collection brings back that same joyful nostalgia for consumers, while inviting them to connect the Quenchers to their current style.”
Besides looking like they just stepped out of a toy box, the Barbie x Stanley Quenchers all have the same features the Stanley community knows and loves them for, just with a bit more flair. They’re still made with double-wall vacuum insulation that’ll keep your bevvies cool for up to 11 hours and your iced drinks frosty for up to two days. There’s also that comfortable grippy handle so you can take your Stanley with you while you strut down the runway or commute to work in your human-sized car (they’re cupholder compatible!).
Much like Mattel dropping a limited-edition collector’s doll, these tumblers are expected to sell out fast (the Eighties Peaches ‘N Cream Quencher is already out of stock). With the Eighties Western Ken tumbler being the last to launch, head over to stanley1913.com to pick up one of the cups from the Barbie x Stanley collection online.
